Project Manager - Engineering
Our client, a leading organization in the electric utility industry, is seeking a Project Manager - Engineering to join their team. As a Project Manager - Engineering, you will be part of the Transmission Projects Department supporting engineering and project management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Assist Project Sponsors with Preliminary Planning and Initiation/Chartering of transmission line and substation projects
- Develop detailed project plans in collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO) using standardized practices
- Coordinate with stakeholders, project teams, and work package owners to develop cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and management documents
- Engage with supervisors and internal teams to allocate resources effectively and coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure project timelines are met
- Provide regular written status reports and manage risk, change categorization, and mitigation strategies
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 4 years of project management experience, preferably in transmission projects within an electric utility
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of Project Management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and communication techniques
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Monday.com
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications effectively
