Job Title - Project Manager - InfrastructureDuration - 06 monthsLocation - Newark, NJJob Description:Develop a comprehensive project plan by identifying the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timeline to include a critical path.Break down the project into manageable tasks, assign responsibilities, and allocate resources effectively.Regularly update the project plan to reflect progress and any changes, ensuring clear communication among team members and stakeholders.Implement monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track project performance and ensure alignment with the initial goals. Defines logical functional requirements that trace back to the business requirements, in collaboration with the lead developer for technical designFormulates logical statements of business, scientific, and or engineering requirementsDevelops Functional Specification Document Requirements Traceability Matrix, and Technical Specification in close collaboration with technology peersResearches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solution for the system's design considering existing systems, available technology, the capacity and limitations of equipment, operating time, and the form of desired results Works with development, operations, technical support, and other technology areas as appropriate throughout the design and development project phasesDesigns a detailed systems testing plan to ensure an accurate and effective productPrepares charts, tables, and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems, utilizing, if necessary, various business, scientific, and or engineering mathematical techniquesAnalyzes existing system logic difficulties and revises the logic and procedures involved as necessaryHelps define projects, milestones, critical pathQualifications:Experience working on complex projects that require gaining stakeholder buy-in and directing stakeholder participationAdditional DetailsPrimary ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end project management of the transformation initiative usingthe Waterfall methodology (not Agile).Develop and maintain project plans, work breakdown structures, and collateral.Coordinate cross-functional teams, including:Engineering (perimeter/edge security)IT supportPolicy exception managersChange operatorsManage project milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.Organize and lead meetings; set agendas, document minutes, track action items, and hold stakeholders accountable.Serve as the communication broker between technical and non-technical stakeholders.Create and maintain effective stakeholder communications, including:Executive presentationsProject updatesDocumentationManage and contribute to knowledge management resources, including:Confluence public project pagesSharePoint documentationKey Skills & QualificationsStrong Project Management background (PMBOK, PMP-style discipline)Experience managing technical and infrastructure-related projectsAbility to manage high-stakes, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholdersComfortable with challenging personalities and managing conflict or derailment in meetingsStrong ability to keep meetings on task and redirect discussions when necessaryExceptional at translating technical concepts into stakeholder-friendly presentationsExperience with Confluence and/or SharePoint for knowledge management is a major plusMust be detail-oriented and highly organizedNice-to-Have Experience (In Order of Priority)Technical project management experience, particularly in IT infrastructureSecurity domain experience, especially perimeter security or proxy technologiesInsurance industry experience (least important of the three)
