Job Description

Product Commercialization is looking for its newest Project Manager (Product Commercialization Lead). This dynamic team is the pulse critical to driving the cross-functional execution of the Worldwide Grocery Stores Private Brands product launch process (product brand product attributes / communication hierarchy product information accuracy and more come together for finalization and activation within this team) as well as any product changes to current items. The PC Team also facilitates development implementation and improvement of various work-streams and conducts resource/ capacity planning to inform all functional teams supporting the Worldwide Grocery Private Brands program at Amazon. With key functions in both business planning and execution the team seeks to optimize business processes and efficiencies cross-functionally to serve a number of teams supporting program including: Sourcing Product Development Package Design Manufacturers Logistics/Supply Chain Product Quality and Global Food Safety.**This position can base out of either our Austin or Seattle HQs and will require 100% of your time in office outside of planned business travel. Key job responsibilitiesKey job responsibilitiesProvide PM support for assigned areas of businessEngage with functional representatives to understand business requirements including definition of done documentation expectations resource limitations and risks.Contribute to building and maintaining project roadmaps including overall timelines and statuses. Track and manage progress identifying and escalating major issues / risks to managementEngage with Team Members and leadership to ensure a mutual and shared understanding of project expectationsEnsure customer focused decision-makingPartner with outside organizations and various stakeholder teams to ensure alignment collaboration and wide-spread sharing of lessons learnedEngage with other business groups to identify gaps and suggest process and communication improvementsEnsure consistency and adherence to applicable brand standards processes and policiesCoordinate label compliance reviews including accuracy consistency and conformance to Quality Standards and conventions/best practices in all claims copy instructions and other informationCreate clear vendor communication involving launch requirements and label development and review processesFacilitate the label review and approval process by outside organizations including vendors organic certification agencies kosher certification bodies and organizations involved in the Sourced for Good program such as Fair-Trade USA etc.Extensive proofing and accuracy-checking against Technical Specifications noting package design revisionsMaintain weekly business partner meetings including agenda and discussion facilitationTravel up to 10%About the teamWorldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) is a global retail organization dedicated to revolutionizing the grocery shopping experience through enhanced efficiency quality and affordability. This team also leads the Whole Body assortment which includes non-food and health/wellness products for WFM. Operating as a unified force Private Brands supports both North American and International operations by leveraging cross-functional expertise in product development sourcing sensory commercialization and quality assurance to bring our products to market end-to-end across all WFM and Amazon channels. Through the integration of Whole Foods Market (WFM) and Amazon-branded products Private Brands enables WWGS to deliver high-quality innovative products and brands while maintaining operational excellence across diverse global markets. This collaborative structure allows WWGS to rapidly scale its food portfolio while maintaining consistent quality standards and efficient processes throughout its worldwide operations. This team manages the Amazon Saver Amazon Grocery byAmazon Aplenty Amazon Kitchen 365 by WFM (including our organic products) and Whole Foods Market brands.- 4 years of program or project management experience- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements- Understands leading project management methodologies and is comfortable applying project management principles to varying project situations- Ability to plan estimate organize and monitor projects- Capable of keeping projects on track in accordance with multiple stakeholder deadlines- Working knowledge of project management software(s) such as Workfront is a plus- Excellent communication skills including written verbal and active listening- With guidance responds to questions and presents information to internal and external stakeholders with an appropriate level of detail given the audience/recipient in both 1:1 and group settings- Continuously seeks to elevate the quality of own work and that of the collective team- Maintains positive working relationships with supported functional stakeholders- Applies basic research information gathering and analytical skills to: 1) Select appropriate alternatives from proposed options and/or preferences communicated 2) Collect required documentation and verify conformance with internal standards and regulation 3) Assess accuracy of detailed information against an array of policies and procedures- Handles detailed structured problems narrowing and identifying specific roadblocks to task completion- Uses existing procedures to resolve standard problems- Understands the strategy goals and objectives of the company business unit and/or project- Identifies alignment / misalignment of project goals with larger organizational strategy goals and objectives and suggests solutions to support key business goals as needed/helpful- Comfortable learning basics of the Whole Foods Market product assortment supplier base and key operational detailAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status disability or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $66800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
