Project Procurement Manager

Location: Idaho Falls, ID or Las Vegas, NV

We are adding a Project Procurement Manager - Supply Chain to oversee all Supply Chain Activities, including Logistics, Inspection and Materials Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and plans all aspects of supply chain from pre-bid, through estimating to closeout.
  • Manages all supply chain disciplines on a project such as Material Control, Category Buying, Expediting, Supplier Quality Surveillance, Logistics and Material Management.
  • Monitors and oversees execution of the procurement buy-out.
  • Negotiates commercial terms and conditions with equipment vendors, material vendors, subcontractors and service providers; consult with corporate attorneys and senior management to minimize project and corporate risk while maintaining commercial competitiveness.
  • Coordinates activities with Category Lead Buyers and plans manpower.
  • Mentors and trains supply chain staff to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
  • Locates and assists in the evaluation and qualification of vendors for materials and equipment, subcontractors, and professional service providers.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of procurement and contract management instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Provides feedback to assist in analyzing market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
  • Resolves vendor or contractor grievances and claims.
  • Reviews purchase order or subcontractor claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Communicates and enforces supply chain policies & procedures to project teams.
  • Responsible for projections, financial planning, expediting, delivery schedules and project supply chain reporting.
  • Implements and oversees project mobilization activities including office set-up, site general arrangement, etc.
  • Oversees project support such as site security, recycling, temporary fencing, jobsite signage, dumpsters, trailer set up, etc.
  • Works with the material management department to ensure proper material receiving and control.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) with general knowledge of database utilization. SmartMaterials and/or SAP experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, engineering, supply chain management, or equivalent degree and/or a minimum of five years' experience in engineering and/or construction or equivalent work/field/military experience.
  • Must have experience as a Project Procurement Manager Supply Chain for EPC projects. Experience as a Project Procurement Manager Supply Chain for Nuclear market with a proven track record of successfully executed projects strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of equipment and materials common in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible and highly motivated with a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

Base Compensation: $135,000/yr - $170,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
