Leidos is seeking a Project Scheduler to join our dynamic Project Consulting team within our Power Delivery Services Division working with a major electric utility client. This role will require the selected candidate to be on site in Rayville Louisiana during the work week. The worker will be compensated for job related travel accomodations.Ideal Candidates will have a strong background in scheduling complex projects and programs related to the planning design and construction of electrical grid infrastructure. This role will have client facing responsibilities and requires expertise in navigating the regulatory landscape and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.The Project Scheduler will be part of Leidos Power Delivery Solutions Division that provides consulting services to both public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities. These consulting services provide clients with overall project management tasks in the areas of comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission and distribution substation and transmission line projects nationwide.Responsibilities:Developing maintaining and driving engineering and construction schedules for various sized transmission & distribution projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities located throughout the United StatesWork with Project Management using earned value management techniques to ensure that schedule and costs are aligned including the development of recovery plans to stay within approved limitsPartner closely with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverablesDevelop and produce schedule weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review: which includes resource loading analysis and schedules critical path items and risk analysisInterfacing directly with the client and internal management to report progress schedule and risks across a portfolio of electrical distribution projectsAssist the project manager with the creation and maintenance of comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI trackingBackground Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelors degree in the following disciplines: Engineering Construction Management Business or Finance required with a minimum of 6 years of relevant scheduling experience; Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeP6 experience strongly preferredMust have the capability for planning organizing directing and tracking technical efforts on assigned tasksShould be capable of tracking cost and schedule status of assigned tasksMust be able to interact with customer representatives in an effective mannerIdeal canddiates will demonstrate recent and in-depth knowledge of electric power infrastructure projectsStrong writing and verbal communication skillsPMP Certification is preferred but not requiredCandidates with experience in a consulting environment will be preferredWe pride ourselves on being a trusted and technology-focused solutions provider.
