Property Accounting Opportunity Job Details Job Details: Our rapidly growing organization is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Permanent Property Accountant to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their expertise in Property Accounting, Year End Close, and Yardi. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all financial aspects of our property portfolio, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and contributing to the overall financial success of our organization. We are looking for someone who is not only competent in their role but also brings a positive attitude, a desire to learn, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our team. Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of properties. Oversee the year-end close process, including the preparation of year-end financial statements and working papers. Utilize Yardi software to manage and track all property accounting activities. Review and approve all property-related invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the accounting system. Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary information for the annual audit. Reconcile bank statements, post receipts, and conduct monthly and annual closing processes. Collaborate with property management teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of property operations. Develop and implement effective internal controls and procedures related to property accounting. Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting for properties. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting. Solid experience with Year End Close and Yardi software is required. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
