The company is a vertically integrated owner/operator focused on the acquisition and management of commercial, industrial, and business parks. They currently manage a portfolio valued at over $1 billion and are strategically transitioning their assets toward a 100% industrial portfolio with Triple Net (NNN) lease structures.

The Role:

Seeking a Property Accountant or Staff Property Accountant to join their accounting team in Irvine. This individual will manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of approximately 10 to 15 properties. You will play a key role in the company's initiative to transition tenants to NNN leases and may participate in high-level development or renovation projects.

We are on the hunt for a dynamic and enthusiastic Permanent Property Accountant who will be an integral part of our Accounting + Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the commercial real estate sector and a knack for numbers. This role will involve managing the financial aspects of our property portfolio, encompassing industrial, commercial, and office spaces. You will be responsible for the full accounting cycle, from preparing financial statements to managing CAM charges and loan draws.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Property Accountant, your day-to-day tasks will include:

1. Overseeing the full accounting cycle for our property portfolio, including preparing and analyzing financial statements.
2. Managing CAM charges, ensuring all expenses are accurately allocated and recovered.
3. Coordinating loan draws to fund property development and renovations.
4. Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of all financial transactions related to our properties.
5. Collaborating with our property management team to ensure all financial aspects of our properties are effectively managed.
6. Using property management software, such as Yardi and MRI, to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
7. Conducting regular financial audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
8. Providing financial advice and guidance to our senior management team, helping to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Property Accountant role will have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in property accounting, preferably within the commercial real estate sector.
3. Expertise in managing CAM charges and coordinating loan draws.
4. Proficiency in using property management software, such as Yardi and MRI.
5. An in-depth understanding of commercial real estate accounting practices and principles.
6. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. A keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
