Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible with the ultimate goal ofenabling human life on Mars.PROPULSION TECHNICIAN(C103) - MULTIPLE SHIFTSRESPONSIBILITIES:Support day-to-day production including manufacturing processes such as EB & TIG welding precision cleaning non-destructive testing heat treat machining and assemblyTroubleshoot failure modes and provide photo documentation and feedback to engineeringUse precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches micrometers and calipersPerform blending filing and shearing of sheet metal partsPerform work according to procedures specifications and test instructionsRead and interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructionsPerform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environmentAccurately record daily work completion to report to the lead technicianResponsible for maintaining a professional and neat work areaBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency certificate1 years of experience working in a production mechanical military or manufacturing environmentPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment with mechanical and electrical systemsStrong mathematical basic computer problem solving and decision-making skills and strong written and verbal communication skillsEmbodies team mentality coachable and reliableThe ability to work independently or as part of a team meet aggressive schedules operate and understand readouts on standard cell instrumentationProficient with computers and the ability to use MS OfficeFAA A&P certificate5S knowledge and experienceHigh attention to detail in order to ensure safety and accuracy of testing proceduresPrevious interaction and correspondence with support engineersADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be willing to work all shifts overtime and weekends as neededMust be ableto lift a min. of 25 lbs. unassistedMust be able to stand for extended periodsMust be able to stoop bend crawl and being able to maneuver in tight spacesCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay range:Propulsion Technician/Level 1: $23.00 - $27.00/hourPropulsion Technician/Level 2: $26.00 - $32.50/hourPropulsion Technician/Level 3: $31.00 - $38.00/hourYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
