Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic AffairsArcadia UniversityGlenside, PennsylvaniaArcadia University seeks a seasoned academic leader and scholar to serve as the next Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Reporting to the president, the provost is the University’s chief academic officer and leader of its academic enterprise, who possesses a broad academic vision, a strong background in scholarship and teaching, and a commitment to undergraduate, graduate, online, and global education. Serving as a trusted and highly collaborative member of the president’s cabinet, the provost works in close collaboration with the president, Board of Trustees, vice presidents, deans, faculty, and staff to advance Arcadia’s academic mission.Key Opportunities Include:Innovative Curricular and Program DevelopmentThe provost will have the opportunity to partner with across the institution in the continued development of curricula and programs that support a wide range of learners including traditional undergraduate and graduate learners, degree completion students, workforce development learners, certificates seekers and others desiring exceptional opportunities to advance in their education and careers. The provost will engage in the continued forging of industry and community partnerships, diverse instructional modalities, and innovative directions in all facets of education.Optimizing the Undergraduate Curriculum in Support of Today’s and Tomorrow’s StudentsThe provost will have the opportunity to work in partnership toward optimizing the undergraduate curriculum to best meet the needs of current and future students.Building Upon and Implementing Arcadia2030 Adaptive StrategyArcadia has established itself as a deeply innovative and nimble institution that can grow and pivot with ease as new opportunities and priorities emerge each year in the evolving educational landscape. The Arcadia2030 Adaptive Strategy provides both a strong foundation and flexible plan that will grow and evolve with Arcadia over the coming five years. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated track record of building trusted relationships with faculty, staff, and students, as well as with community and regional partners. The next provost will join the highly collaborative cabinet to chart the University’s future through a commitment to excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurship, while fostering an inclusive community and campus culture in which all members of the university community feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
