Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Description: This position is responsible for providing high-quality rebuilds and repairs on heavy equipment and commercial engines (natural gas and diesel) in a field environment, responding to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner, and ensuring maximum value for work performed. Qualifications:A qualified candidate must have the following skills or abilities:At least 2 years of experience in field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills of Gas and Diesel Engines requiredGED or High School Diploma required. Diesel Tech degree highly desiredExcellent customer service skills. Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with customers and employees in a professional mannerMust build and maintain strong customer service relationshipsMust have their own tools. (Up to 3/4 inch drive metric and standard) (Specialty tools provided.)Must take pride in maintaining the highest standards of quality, yet capable of adhering to time requirement limitationsAbility to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.Ability to work with limited supervision.Work Environment:Requires wearing common protective or safety equipmentRegularly works outdoors around moving mechanical parts and noise level may be loud at times May be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment Required to perform work in cramped spaces and/or high placesTravel:Must be able to travel daily and overnight travel, required throughout Texas onlyDriver License And CertificationsValid driver's license required, CDL preferredMust have a safe driving historyMust be able to pass a DOT PhysicalCrane rigger certifications are preferredEducationHigh school diploma or equivalentDiesel technology education preferredHow to Apply:If you are interested in the position, please complete our online application by applying directly on our website at http://www.holtcat.com/careers.
