Psychiatric Emergency Clinician 2 Full-time Day Shift: Monday Friday.Inova is consistently ranked as a national healthcare leader in safety quality and patient experience.We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation.Featured Benefits:Committed to Team Member Health:offering medical dental and vision coverage and a robust team member wellness program.Retirement:Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions starting on your first day.Tuition and Student Loan Assistance:offering up to $5250 per year in education assistance and up to $10000 for student loans.Mental Health Support:offering all Inova team members their spouses/partners and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions per person per year at no cost.Work/Life Balance:offering paid time off paid parental leave flexible work schedules and remote and hybrid career opportunities.Psychiatric Emergency Clinician 2 Job Responsibilities:Provides on site psychiatric consultations to medicine teams for patients with behavioral health needsProvides a collaborative and integrative approach to patient care throughout the patients medical admission.Works closely with Psychiatrist to evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders and/or SUDs performs risk assessments and determines level of care in coordination with multidisciplinary teams for patients with BH needs.May provide a range of brief evidence based therapeutic interventions crisis management safety assessments utilizing appropriate resources to assist the patient in achieving the goals and objectives for medical and psychiatric stabilization.Provides clear and consistent communication seamless coordination and effective interventions to optimize treatment outcomesMinimum Qualifications:Education:Masters Degree Ph.D. PsyD EdD in Mental Health Social Work Counseling Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.Experience: Minimum of two years experience working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill.Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association Upon Start. Crisis Prevention Institute Within 6 Months CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire. Vistelar within 6 months after 9/1/25 Vistelar replaces CPI for new and renewed de-escalation certification.Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
