County Jail Psychiatrist Locum Tenens Job in Southern CaliforniaDetails/Requirements: Need is for .75FTE or 30 hours a week for the client's intake psychiatry team at the county jail. The intake psychiatry team is similar to psychiatric emergency and consult services. Psychiatrists are expected to see minimum 1 patient per hour (10 patients = 10-hours). Will consider Psychiatrists for 3 ten hour weekdays per week as well as doctors who have weekend availability plus a Friday or Monday. 10-hour shifts are typically 7am-5pm or 8am-6pm No call. MUST HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORD OF ANY TYPE. Will be expected to adhere to county jail protocols for medication management and initial evaluations. Client uses an electronic medical record system called Cerner. So, candidates must be computer savvy. Takes approximately two months for credentialing.
