Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician at Jackson and Coker

Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist Locum Tenens Job in Southern CaliforniaDetails/Requirements: Need is for adult inpatient coverage starting September 2 x two months with the good possibility of extending if mutually agreed upon. They need a locums Psychiatrist to work 8am to 5pm, Monday-Thursday with an occasional Friday. No call, no weekends. 18 bed acute adult inpatient unit, average daily census 6-10 patients, plus med/surg floor consults which average about 10 consults per week. See patients 18 and over, up to 62 typically. Average length of stay is 5-7 days. All patients are medically cleared by their primary care physician before being admitted to the psych unit. Must have a clean file, no malpractice in the past and no lawsuits pending. Client is pushing for expedited temporary hospital privileges based on the circumstances. MUST have two years of recent continuous acute inpatient experience or currently holds active admitting privileges at an acute care facility and MUST have a CA DEA, CA MD/DO License, and board certification in psychiatry. The hospital E.H.R. is Cerner. Must be computer literate.
