Psychiatry Adult Physician at Tandym Health

A health services organization in Missouri is actively seeking a new Inpatient Psychiatrist to provide adult inpatient mental health care at their St. Louis-based facility. This role offers a clinically focused setting with a balanced schedule and the opportunity to provide evaluation and treatment for patients with acute psychiatric needs.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, with 1 weekend per month
• Hours: 8am to 4:30pm
• Setting: Inpatient Adult Mental Health

Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adult inpatients with acute mental health needs
• Conduct 24-hour evaluations and assess patients presenting with psychiatric, behavioral, or addictive disorders
• Perform psychological and psycho-educational testing as needed
• Deliver electroconvulsive therapy when indicated
• Manage assigned patients and support care within an acute psychiatric unit

Qualifications:

• Active Missouri physician license or IMLC
• Board certified in Psychiatry or board eligible with certification obtained within 5 years of residency
• BLS certification
• Experience in an acute psychiatric unit or institute
• Experience working with Epic EMR

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint application
• Experience treating adult patients with anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders
