Senior Behavioral Health Unit (SBHU)

Temple Health – Chestnut Hill Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join our Senior Behavioral Health Unit, a 20-bed inpatient program dedicated to the compassionate, high-quality care of older adults with acute psychiatric needs. This is a faculty role within the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, offering the opportunity to combine meaningful inpatient clinical work with academic engagement, while practicing in a supportive community hospital environment.
The SBHU provides short-term inpatient stabilization for older adults experiencing conditions such as depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our interdisciplinary team emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, education, and thoughtful discharge planning to support long-term recovery and continuity of care.

Candidate Qualifications
• MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
• Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry (ABPN)
• Fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry preferred
• Eligibility for unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and DEA prior to start
