Psychotherapist for Private Practice at Center for Intimacy Recovery
Job Description
Overview
The Center for Intimacy Recovery is searching for Master’s level licensed psychotherapists (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, etc.) to join our team in a part-time or full-time virtual position.
Therapists must be licensed in at least one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Our practice serves a large number of male clients, and we are seeking clinicians who feel confident and comfortable supporting this population.
We are a growing, collegial, practice expanding our base in the tri-state New York area as well as our branches in Florida, California and Texas. This is a great opportunity for the right people interested in working in a private practice setting where we provide opportunities to have quality clinical experiences, run groups, and continue learning through training and supervision. We are looking for therapists licensed in New York and/or New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, California and Texas who are willing to work virtually.
The Center for Intimacy is a private practice founded by Gary Katz, LCSW, with the mission to help people become more intimate with themselves and others and to address the strategies they have developed to protect themselves as a result of relational trauma. A large part of the practice focuses on relational trauma, infidelity, betrayal trauma and sexual addiction. We also have an increased focus on sex therapy including helping couples to connect more sexually and addressing obstacles to that.
We have built a warm work environment where the culture has been created with intentionality. The practice is a multidisciplinary team of therapists and interns who all bring their own diverse backgrounds and training to their work with our clients. One of the ways we support our staff is through weekly 1 on 1 individual supervision as well weekly 2 hour group supervision meetings, where we create a safe environment for therapists to bring clinical questions and to learn.
Responsibilities
- The position is responsible for a minimum of 15 clients per week plus 2 hours of group supervision and one hour of individual supervision weekly.
- Each therapist makes their own schedule based on their own needs.
- Masters level degree or higher
- Licensed to practice in New York, Connecticut, or New Jersey
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be professional, a good communicator, and able to work independently. They must also work collaboratively, interested in-depth psychotherapy and curious. You will be offered weekly individual supervision and weekly 2 hour group supervision as well as office space (where we are not virtual).
A Master's level degree as a social worker, marriage and family therapist, or mental health counselor and licensing is required. CSAT certification is preferred.
Several years experience preferred.
Compensation & benefits
The pay is fee for service with the opportunity after a year to be paid a yearly salary with medical, eye and dental insurance as well as a 401(k) plan.
We are committed to affordable access to care (via needs-based sliding-scale as well as the use of interns.) We use a fee for service payment model, and do not work with insurance companies directly at this time.
