PT Camp Kitchen Assistants - Weekends at Girl Scouts San Diego

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionGirl Scouts San Diego is seeking PT Kitchen Assistants to support the weekend food service operations for our camps located in the beautiful mountain town of Julian, CA. Kitchen Assistants will assist with preparing and serving meals for up to 150 youth, adult volunteers, and camp staff on occasional weekends, including Friday evenings through Sunday mornings. Kitchen Assistants' key responsibilities will include food preparation (slicing and chopping ingredients), setup and breakdown of dining areas, cleaning and sanitizing dishes, kitchen supplies and equipment, stocking/restocking kitchen and food supplies, adhering to proper food handling and safety guidelines, and other duties to ensure a positive dining experience.Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalentAt least 18 years of ageExperience working in a commercial kitchen or food service environment is a plus.Current Food Handlers Card and CPR/First Aid Certification requiredAbility to work on a team in a fast-paced environment and follow and take direction.Must be able and willing to work in an overnight camp environment in Julian with varying weather conditions and temperatures.Must be able to walk on uneven terrain, stand for long periods of time, able to lift and/or push up to 25lbs.Reliable transportation; ability to arrive on time for assigned work shift(s).
