The Tennessee Department of Health is seeking a Dentist to join our team at the Cumberland County Health Center in Crossville, TN. This is your opportunity to provide quality care without the stress of managing a private practice, while serving those who need it most.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Clinical dental services to patients to prevent or eliminate dental disease.
  • Facilitate onboarding, training and continuing education of assigned staff and their work.
  • Utilize quality improvement methods to ensure and maintain efficient and effective clinic processes, including patient flow.
  • Analyze monthly productivity reports to identify issues or areas of improvement.
  • Monitor clinical productivity and review other clinical reports on a regular basis.
  • Identifying the developmental needs of others, coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Supervise local dental care staff, including supervisory administrative duties and performance management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations prescribed by the Tennessee Board of Dentistry and the Tennessee Department of Health Essential to the control of preventable diseases and maintenance of dental health.



Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and dental licensure in the State of Tennessee is required. Unrestricted DEA license is required. Candidate should be a self-directed problem solver possessing excellent clinical skills and significant clinical mentoring experience. Candidate must be a quick learner, have strong computer skills and have the ability to adapt to constantly changing environments, including new electronic dental and medical record systems.
