Public Relations Coordinator (Temporary Appointment) Organization: 802io Reporting To: Chief Technology Officer Term: 12 January 2026 - 25 September 2026 Overview 802io is seeking a highly organized, communication-savvy Public Relations Coordinator to support the Chief Technology Officer during a focused public engagement campaign throughout 2026. This temporary role blends executive communications, brand strategy, and coordinated outreach across academic, IT, and cybersecurity communities. Role Summary The Public Relations Coordinator will help identify, prioritize, and secure public speaking opportunities for the CTO at universities, IT and cyber conferences, industry forums, and additional high-value venues. The CTO's engagements will center on real-world insights, including: > Identification and recovery from Citrix Bleed 2 attacks > Incident response lessons from Arcane Door / Cisco ASA intrusions > Executive leadership best practices for CTOs and CIOs This role focuses on booking and managing speaking engagements, maintaining outreach pipelines, strengthening the CTO's professional brand, and ensuring message alignment across all public-facing activities. Primary Responsibilities: Research, evaluate, and recommend relevant speaking opportunities across higher education ins, cybersecurity, and IT sectors. Book engagements and coordinate logistics with event organizers Support development of messaging, bios, abstracts, and content aligned with the CTO's technical and leadership themes Maintain relationships with conference organizers, university program leaders, and industry partners Assist with brand strategy execution, public-facing materials, and audience positioning Track outreach progress and maintain a clear engagement pipeline Coordinate pre-event materials, schedules, and follow-up communications Qualifications Strong interest in public relations, executive communication, or technology leadership Excellent coordination and interpersonal communication skills Ability to manage multiple outreach channels simultaneously Comfort interacting with external stakeholders Organizational focus and attention to detail (Preferred) Familiarity with cybersecurity or enterprise IT topics
