As a Public Safety Dispatcher at The Ohio State University, you’ll be the voice behind the action –Answering emergency (911) and non-emergency callsCoordinating resources, and ensuring help gets where it’s neededOperating Public Safety Communication systems (911, CAD and radio)Dispatching police, fire, and security personnelDocumenting critical events accuratelyYou will handle all public safety telecommunications, including answering 911 calls, evaluating the nature and severity of incidents, and coordinating the dispatch of emergency units.
