We are offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus to qualified full-time candidates.Job Title: Public Safety SergeantLocation: Easton Town Center – Columbus, OHSchedule: Full-Time | Nights & Weekends RequiredReports To: Public Safety / Center LeadershipJob SummaryUnder general supervision, the Public Safety Sergeant oversees and manages public safety personnel and operations to ensure a safe environment for people and property at Easton Town Center. This role is responsible for supervision, training, scheduling, emergency response, investigations, coordination with local agencies, and the overall effectiveness of assigned shifts.This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for experienced public safety or security professionals ready to take the next step.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision & LeadershipSupervise, schedule, and evaluate Public Safety staffApprove time off and make recommendations for hiring, discipline, or dismissalTrain new team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs)Maintain proper staffing coverage (includes overtime/shift changes)Monitor officer and dispatcher performance for quality and complianceConduct regular safety audits and inspectionsOperations & Incident ResponseLead day-to-day public safety operations for assigned shiftConduct roll calls to share critical informationAssign patrols (foot, vehicle, special events)Review reports and daily logs for completenessRespond to all injury-related incidents on shiftEnforce Easton Town Center Code of ConductAddress and resolve guest, tenant, and employee concernsEscalate critical incidents to leadership as neededCoordinate with CPD special duty officers for effective deploymentAct as liaison with law enforcement, firefighters, and other agenciesEnsure proper operation of safety equipment (CCTV, radios, etc.)Administrative DutiesPrepare accurate incident and activity reportsCoordinate training (CPR, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing, etc.)Maintain training and compliance recordsManage CPD special detail sign-in/out logsSupport ongoing staff development and policy adherenceRequired Skills & AbilitiesStrong leadership and team management capabilitiesAbility to make quick, sound decisions under pressureExcellent communication (written and verbal)Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong situational awareness and attention to detailEducation & ExperienceMust be at least 21 years of ageValid driver’s license requiredHigh School Diploma or GED requiredCollege coursework or degree preferred2–3 years in a public safety or security leadership role preferredRetail, hospitality, or mixed-use facility experience preferredMust be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededPhysical RequirementsStand/walk for extended periodsClimb stairs, ramps, and ladders as neededBend, kneel, and twist occasionallyLift up to 50 pounds as requiredWork both indoors and in varying outdoor conditionsMust be able to communicate clearly in English
