PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR at WEST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP

PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR West Hempfield Township is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Public Works Director. The Public Works Director plans, organizes, and directs all operations and activities of the Township's Public Works Department. This position oversees the maintenance and repair of Township infrastructure, coordinates capital projects, manages department staff and contractors, and ensures compliance with applicable regulations, including stormwater (MS4) requirements. Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in public works, construction, or municipal operations, including supervisory responsibilities. Valid Pennsylvania driver's license required; Class B CDL preferred at time of hire, required to be obtained within six (6) months of hire, and must be maintained throughout employment. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with MS4 stormwater compliance, budgeting, and asset management software preferred.
