Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPAPIER-METTLER operates as an international packaging company and is the European market leader in the industry.Advanced production facilities, innovative product developments as well as flat hierarchies, and short ways of decision-making combine to make the family-owned company an exciting and successful employer.With its unique recycling concept, PAPIER-METTLER is a promising pioneer in environmentally friendly packaging solutions.More than 5,000 employees worldwide trust the family-owned company and benefit from its excellent development prospects.Mettler Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Your tasks & responsibilities:- Establishing and shaping the purchasing department of the first manufacturing plant of the Papier-Mettler Group in the United States- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective, availability and high-quality raw materials, equipment, and services- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supporting departments on corporate level to ensure seamless supply chain operations- Analyze and manage inventory levels to optimize working capital and production efficiency- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, fostering partnerships that align with the companys values and quality standards- Process entire purchase orders efficiently and accurately through the companys ERP system and perform other clerical duties- Monitor market trends, assess supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvementsYour profile:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field- Proven experience (2+ years) of purchasing in a manufacturing environment desired- Absolute reliability and exemplary time management- Savvy and determined negotiator with experience in contract law- Self-managed and strong problem-solving skills- Impeccable attention to detail and outstanding organization skills- Positive working attitude, hands-on mentality and strong communication skills- Familiarity with ERP systems and M/S officeYour Advantages:- The unique opportunity to build-up and decisively shape the purchasing activities in the United States- Family-run business with very solid structure- Positive working conditions and attractive salary- 401K- 12 vacation days- Paid sick and holiday time- Short-term and long-term disability insurance- Life and accident insurance- Health, Dental & Vision Insurance- Ongoing support, training and developmentContact Stacey Pyles @ 304-530-8611Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftWork Location: In person
