This allows us to take a comprehensive holistic approach to improving the lives of every person we serve those who receive and those who reap the benefits of our innovative responsive solutions.Salary Range: $80000 - $90000 (commensurate with experience)Work Type: OnsitePRIMARY JOB FUNCTION(S):Establish centralized purchasing departmentDevelop lead and execute purchasing strategiesEstablish standard operating procedures for purchasing; monitor the effectiveness of procedures; revise and improve purchasing processesPartner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentationAdministers American Express corporate purchasing card program.Develops new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.Examines bids and makes awards.Establishes account/credit and terms.Negotiates blanket purchase orders when appropriate and monitors cost during the time period.Checks requisitions for appropriate approval and account numbers.Works closely with receiving department to ensure proper supplies arrivedTraces delinquent arrivals from purchase orders.Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.Generate and distribute accurate purchase orders and house budgetsTrack and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectivenessMonitor and forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier powerMonitor and forecast upcoming levels of demandPerform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarkingAssess manage and mitigate risksExercise discretion and judgmentDraft review contracts and modify terms and conditions; express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in written formREQUIREMENTS:BS degree in supply chain management logistics or business administrationPreferred CPPO Certified Purchasing Manager Certified Contract Negotiator CPPB or other advanced certification in procurement and/or contract administration8 years experience in the procurement of materials/equipment/supplies and the development and review of contractsProven working experience as purchasing managerFamiliarity with sourcing and vendor managementFamiliarity with government contractingPreferred advanced knowledge of applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and other government requirementsPreferred experience with not-for-profits and residential group homesFamiliarity with Serenic or similar purchasing management softwareInterest in market dynamics along with a keen business senseSkilled at negotiation and networkingWorking experience of vendor management softwareAbility to gather and analyze data and to work with figuresSolid judgement and sound decision making skillsNOTE: At the discretion of the Chief Human Resources Officer additional related experience and/or education may be substituted in lieu of the requirements specified under Minimum Experience and/or Education.Whats in it for you Total Rewards (For Full-Time Employees >30 hours/week):Medical Dental and Vision InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountsLife InsuranceDisability InsurancePaid Time Off403(b) with Company MatchTransportation SubsidyEmployee Recognition ProgramsReferral Bonus opportunitiesAnd More!Want to learn moreTo learn more about Chimes and how you can achieve personal and professional growth within a purpose-driven organization visit us at: Experience:Manager Key Skills Inventory Control,Purchasing,Sourcing,Procurement,Vendor Management,HR Sourcing,ERP Systems,negotiation,Materials Management,Manufacturing,MRP,Contracts Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
