Purchasing Specialist

Kelly Services is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for a long-term position with one of our Global Clients based in Irvine, CA.

This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401k, and paid time off.

Title: Purchasing Specialist Location: Irvine (92618) Pay: $35 hr; plus benefits and PTO Hours: M-F first shift Duration: long term

The Purchasing Specialist will support a group of internal Procurement professionals as well as external suppliers. While this is mainly support, we are looking for an experienced individual that understands Procurement and Supply Chain management.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of Engineering Change Order (ECO) Process Preparation and management of quote requests
  • Management of Purchase Order Process
  • Support of Vendor and Client Invoicing
  • Invoice Reconciliation
  • PO and Invoice Problem Resolution
  • Prepare Presentations as Requested
  • Assist task related to adding new suppliers to ERP systems and approved supplier lists
  • Support execution of supplier contractual agreements (i.e. non-disclosure agreements, award letters, supply agreements, etc.)

Experience:

  • Experience of 3+ years in a Procurement organization, preferably in the Medical Device industry. Other FDA regulated industries will be considered.
  • Strong analytical/technical aptitude competence.
  • Experience with Engineering Change Orders and Supplier Change requests preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERP system being a SME is a plus, Document Control System and Excel
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed company environment
  • Experience communicating with external suppliers
  • Experience working in Manufacturing Operations, specifically in a GMP environment is highly preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree required.
