ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Software Engineer - Mid in our Chantilly VA office in support of our Intelligence Community customer as part of a highly talented highly motivated and high-performing team. As part of the systems engineering team you will be supporting the Enterprise Xcelerator Lab a research & development laboratory catered to mission integration and user engagement. You will be working with other agencies and industry partners that involves design development integration test and deployment of exciting and complex systems in an Agile construct to contribute to mission success for a variety of stakeholders. Join us and be part of the next generation of innovators as we blaze a trail forward for our profession and companyWhat youll do:Conduct research in design development testing and utilization of electronic data processing software.Design develop document test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers in the planning design development and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent output requirements input data acquisition programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions.Ensure software standards are met.Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.Confer with systems analysts engineers programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities performance requirements and interfaces.Design develop and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.Coordinate software system installations and monitor system functioning to ensure specifications are met.QualificationsRequired qualifications: Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience Masters degree with 3 years of relevant experience. Additional four (4) years of direct comparable experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree will be considered.This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with poly. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
