Python Developer (Investment banking) (Snowflake OR Databricks) NYC 9 years We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with extensive experience in capital markets to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining advanced financial applications trading systems and analytics platforms. You will play a crucial role in implementing scalable solutions and optimizing our core trading and risk management systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop optimize and maintain high-performance Python-based applications for trading risk management and market data analysis. Collaborate with quantitative analysts traders and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust software solutions. Design and implement data collection processing and storage pipelines ensuring data integrity and security. Integrate with external trading platforms APIs market data feeds and other financial systems. Enhance existing systems with new features performance improvements and automation. Conduct code reviews testing and documentation to maintain high code quality standards. Stay updated on industry trends financial regulations and emerging technologies relevant to capital markets. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Finance Economics or a related field. 5 years of development experience with a strong focus on Python. In-depth knowledge of capital markets financial instruments trading architectures and workflows. Proven experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB). Hands-on experience with financial data APIs FIX protocol and market data feeds. Familiarity with quantitative modeling algorithms and financial analysis. Experience with cloud services (AWS Azure) containers (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
