Job DescriptionJob Description Quality Assurance Technician POSITION SPECIFICS Reports To: Quality Assurance ManagerFLSA Status: HourlyROLE SUMMARYResponsible for monitors and/or verifies food safety and quality of products and processes per company guidelines. The QA Tech enforces employee GMPs and safety practices as well as monitors sanitation and the condition of equipment and facility. Also, performs other tasks as necessary to safeguard the interest of the Raybern Quality Foods.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Monitor and/or verify HACCP Plan and CCP’sSQF responsibilities including but not limited to documentation, inspections, auditing, validation and verification of processes, standards, work instructions, SOP’s, specifications, policies and practicesPerform quality testing on finished products to ensure compliance to standards, and specificationsMonitor equipment and facility sanitationMonitor and enforces employee GMP practicesMonitor and enforces food safety and quality of incoming goodsVerify formulations and production processesRetain product and/or product samplesEnsure label accuracyAssist with employee training and evaluates training effectivenessAssist with the monitoring of pest control and pest control contractorMonitor food defenseCreate, maintain and file documentation on all activitiesAssists R&D on product samples, formulations and pilot runsCommunicates with appropriate stakeholders and helps to resolve non-compliance activitiesResponsible for chemical, physical, sensory testing and maintenance of lab equipmentPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. At least two years of relevant industry experience with sales, finance, trade or pricing background preferred. Consumer Packaged Goods experience preferred.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONSHACCP CertificationSQF CeritificateREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESExcellent math, statistical, reasoning and computer skills preferredProficient in oral and written communicationAbility to lead projects, people and programsAbility to work well on an independent basis and as part of a team. This is a second shift position. Shift is from 3:15 pm until 11:45 pm.
