Location:Bethesda MDWork Type:Hybrid WorkRequired Clearance:Ability to Obtain Public TrustJob Title:QA Tester & Business Systems Analyst Associate(SharePoint and Power Platform)Job Overview:LCG is seeking a skilled Application Tester with strong Business Analysis capabilities to support application enhancements and new system development within a dynamic agile team environment. This individual will be responsible for the end-to-end testing process and requirements ensuring that all deliverables meet both functional and business expectations. The ideal candidate is analytical detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.They will serve as a key liaison between developers project management system administrators and end users ensuring that requirements are clearly defined thoroughly tested and successfully implemented. This role involves manual functional testing documentation of test cases requirements and user guides and active participation throughout the project lifecycle from initiation through implementation and user acceptance testing (UAT).Because this role supports SharePoint Developers and Power Platform Developers the candidate must also possess strong capabilities in testing and analyzing SharePoint Online Microsoft 365 services Power Apps and Power Automate workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements ManagementCollaborate with stakeholders at the initiation of each project to gather analyze and document detailed business and functional requirements under the guidance of scrum master and product owner.Translate user and business needs into clear actionable user stories for development and testing.Work closely with developers to ensure requirements are technically feasible and well understood before implementation.Gather requirements that specifically support SharePoint Online solutions including custom SharePoint apps (SPFx) migration and collaboration platforms. Support review and approval process for requirements documentation.Prepare and contribute to the comprehensive user guides and documentation to support application releases and user adoption.Serve as a communication bridge between business users technical teams and project leadership to clarify requirements and ensure alignment.Quality Assurance & TestingParticipating in the QA process including test planning test design test case execution defect tracking and retesting after issue resolution.Collaborate with stakeholders to create and maintain detailed test plans test cases test procedures and testing documentation for each release.Execute manual testing to verify system functionality regression coverage and integration accuracy across multiple applications.Perform testing on SharePoint Online SPFx web parts search functionality migration and site permissions.Test PowerApps forms UI behavior logic rules and Power Automate workflows including triggers connectors and automated processes.Ensure test coverage aligns directly with defined business requirements and acceptance criteria.Support and develop process and provide UAT test plans and test cases for the business user group to execute during acceptance testing.Collaborate closely with developers system administrators Scrum Masters and PMs to track testing outcomes and coordinate fixes.Conduct Section 508 accessibility testing for SharePoint pages PowerApps interfaces and content views.Validate data accuracy for SharePoint integrations migrations and schema transformations.Ensure defect-free application implementation outcomes by maintaining thorough pre-release testing identifying potential issues early and validating requirements alignment.Collaboration & Stakeholder EngagementEngage continuously with business users developers Scrum Masters and system administrators to ensure consistent communication and visibility across project phases.Support the user community during UAT by providing structured workflows test documentation and testing guidance.Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g. sprint reviews backlog refinement and stand-ups) to stay aligned with project priorities.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams from both internal and client-side organizations to ensure shared understanding of goals and deliverables.Work directly with SharePoint Developers to ensure requirements and test cases align with SPFx components site architecture custom workflows and integrations.Performance & Quality MetricsMaintain a strong focus on requirement clarity and documentation quality to prevent ambiguity and downstream defects.Maintain accountability through consistent documentation communication and quality of work.Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases for SharePoint Online and Power Platform.QualificationsEducation:Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business Administration or related field.Experience:At least2 years of experiencein software testing and business analysis.Proven background inmanual testing including test planning documentation and execution.Experience gathering and managing requirements and writing user documentation or guides.Experience collaborating within anAgile/Scrum environmentand using tools such asAzure DevOps.Experience testing and supporting SharePoint Online SPFx components workflows and site architecture.Experience validating Power Apps interfaces and Power Automate workflows.Experience performing Section 508 accessibility testing.Technical Skills:Strong understanding of SDLC QA methodologies and software testing Agile best practices.Familiarity with tracking tools (Azure DevOps or similar) for user stories bugs and test management.Working knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture hub sites communication sites content types and permissions.Knowledge of PowerApps Power Automate and data validation techniques.Soft Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.Highly organized with strong analytical and documentation abilities.Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within small cross-functional teams.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask across multiple projects or workstreams.Preferred QualificationsCertification:ISTQB Agile TesterThe ideal candidate will already be NIH badged.Experience working within federal or enterprise IT environments and familiarity with structured project governance.Background as a tester who evolved into a business analyst with a holistic understanding of both roles.Demonstrated ability to create end-user documentation and release readiness efforts.Experience supporting SharePoint Developers directly including SPFx testing workflow validation and integration testing across M365Compensation and BenefitsThe projected compensation range for this position is $29.00/hr to $37.00/hr benchmarked in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
