Details:Job Title: QC InspectorMultiple Locations: Sparks NV or San Leandro CAReports To: Site QC Supervisor / QA/QC DirectorDepartment: Quality Assurance / Quality ControlFLSA Status: Non-ExemptTravel Required: Yes - Regional Job Sites & Office LocationsGeneral DescriptionThe QA/QC Inspector is responsible for planning and executing quality assurance activities for industrial construction processes materials and products. This role represents our client in overseeing pipe and equipment installations welding inspections and subcontractor work to ensure adherence to project and industry standards. The QA/QC Inspector actively participates in the clients quality program by documenting installation activities and ensuring compliance across all construction phases.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections and tests to assure quality of processes components and final installation.Review design documentation for compliance with industry and client standards.Evaluate purchased products and materials for approval based on quality performance.Accurately document all QA activities in line with our client and client policies.Identify and communicate quality issues or process improvements to management.Prepare and submit QA/QC reports and documentation.Maintain working knowledge of relevant industry codes and client specifications.Perform other duties as assigned by the quality management team.Secondary Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing solutions to quality-related challenges.Present technical findings to internal teams and client stakeholders.Provide direction and guidance to technical support staff on QA activities.Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Site QC Supervisor or QA/QC Director.Position RequirementsEducation & CertificationsAWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - Required or preferredICC Mechanical - Commercial Certification - PreferredHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plusExperienceMinimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in industrial or commercial constructionMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience with ASME B31 piping codesBackground in welding fabrication and non-destructive testing (NDT)Skills & AbilitiesAbility to interpret drawings specifications codes and technical manualsCompetent in mathematical calculations related to inspection and layoutEffective communication skills - verbal and writtenProblem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to follow both standardized and complex instructions in various formatsCore CompetenciesProactivity / Initiative: Self-driven and action-orientedPerseverance: Resilient in the face of obstaclesInsight: Analytical thinking and awareness of quality indicatorsTeamwork: Collaborative and communicative with internal and external teamsMotivation / Dedication: Committed to project goals and high-quality resultsTechnical Curiosity / Willingness to Learn: Open to feedback and continuous learningProblem-Solving: Uses logic and experience to find effective solutionsPhysical RequirementsMust frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs; occasionally up to 25 lbsSpecific vision abilities: Jaeger (J1) vision required annuallyRegularly required to walk climb stairs sit stoop kneel crouch or crawlScheduleMonday through FridayStandard 8-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute rest breaksCan expect 10-20hrs of overtimeTravelRequired based on project locations and business needsTravel includes site visits between regional branches client sites and field projects#INDW Key Skills Quality Inspection,Calipers,Coordinate Measuring Machine,GD&T,ISO 9001,Dimensional Inspection,Micrometer,Quality Control,Training & Development,QA/QC,As9100,Manufacturing Employment Type : Contract Experience: years Vacancy: 1
