This senior role will oversee inspections, audits, and field weld reviews while managing a team of 5 to 6 quality control employees. The QC Steel Lead will serve as a key partner to production and engineering teams to ensure compliance with AWS codes, resolve issues, and continuously improve our quality systems.ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all steel inspection and audit activities at ATMICreate and maintain detailed weld inspection reportsCoordinate field weld inspections and resolve discrepanciesSupervise and assign tasks to a team of 5 to 6 QC employeesEnsure that all welding operations comply with company quality standards and codesCollaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve steel-related issuesRequirements:Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)ASNT Level 2 certificationMinimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role within a QC environmentMinimum of 3 years of weld inspection experienceProficient in technical report writing and interpreting welding standardsStrong leadership, communication, and team management abilitiesKnowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.4 welding codes
