This role is responsible for monitoring product quality through testing and observation. Additionally this position consists of the operation of moderately complex semi-automated equipment.What Youll DoResponsible for running in-process stability/calibration final release and experimental devicesNotifying appropriate personnel of results and completing all associated data and documentationCross-trained on all processes including in-process stability calibration and final releaseAble to solve process-related questions/problems and minor investigationsReview device history recordsTrain new employees/Quality Control Technician IOperate laboratory equipment safely as trained and directed in accordance with established practicesResponsible for inventory of all testing related materialsDemonstrates commitment to the development implementation and effectiveness of Alere Quality Management System per ISO FDA and other regulatory agenciesUnderstands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job; has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility including product design verification and validation manufacturing and testing activitiesResponsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the companys policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationshipsCarries out duties in compliance with established business policiesOther duties as assigned according to the changing needs of the businessEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOULL BRINGRequired:High School/ GED graduate or equivalent2 - 5 years relative work experiencePreferredBS in a science-related field2 5 years of laboratory experience in quality control/assurance or a manufacturing environment preferably invitro diagnosticsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite; strong knowledge of ExcelOrganized and detail orientedAbility to work in a team environmentAble to multitask and adapt to changes in task prioritiesWHAT WE OFFERAt Abbott you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
