Job DescriptionJob DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS:"Qualified Paraprofessional in Mental Health (QPPMH)" (ii) has an associate's degree in a related field (social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling) and at least one year of experience providing direct services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness; or (iii) has a minimum of 90 hours classroom training and 12 weeks of experience under the direct personal supervision of a QMHP-Adult providing services to individuals with mental illness and at least one year of experience (including the 12 weeks of supervised experience)."Qualified Mental Health Professional-Adult (QMHP-A)" (iii) an individual with a master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university with at least one year of clinical experience; (iv) a social worker: an individual with at least a bachelor's degree in human services or related field (social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling or other degree deemed equivalent to those described) from an accredited college and with at least one year of clinical experience providing direct services to individuals with a diagnosis of mental illness; (v) a person with at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in an unrelated field that includes at least 15 semester credits (or equivalent) in a human services field and who has at least three years of clinical experience; (vi) a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Provider (CPRP) registered with the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (USPRA); (vii) a registered nurse licensed in Virginia with at least one year of clinical experience; or (viii) any other licensed mental health professional."Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child (QMHP-C)" (ii) have a master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university with at least one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents; (iii) have a social work bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university with at least one year of documented clinical experience with children or adolescents; (iv) be a registered nurse with at least one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents; (v) have at least a bachelor's degree in a human services field or in special education from an accredited college with at least one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents, or (vi) be a licensed mental health professional.JOB REQUIREMENTS:QPPMH will work with individuals (Adults diagnosed with a mental illness diagnosis) to foster the development of new and improved coping skills, problem solving abilities, and communication skills in the community setting.-QPPMH will provide training to individuals in support of ADL’s and IADL’s services within the community setting.-QPPMH are responsible for all individual related documentation and reports as well as the development and implementation of treatment goals and objectives.-QPPMH are required to use their own vehicles in the performance of duties.- QPPMH must maintain all applicable professional, legal, and ethical standards, including confidentiality, dual relations, and informed consent.-QPPMH will participate in individual and monthly group supervision sessions as scheduled-QPPMH will attend staff meetings, community agency meetings as needed.-QPPMH will participate in skill training's/updates.-QPPMH will complete other assignments and tasks as directed by Clinical and program administrative staff.Provides direct, Mental Health Support Services (MHSS) to identified client (Ensure that the required LMHP documents have been gathered and completed to ensure that the Qualified Mental Health Professional-Adult (QMHP-A), and all involved parties can participate in the preparation of treatment plan and updates.Assists in planning of services.Provides client with day-to-day skills/education as well as support to assist client in meeting their day-to-day obligations.Models and teaches problem-solving techniques.Provides a variety of interventions in client’s home and community as appropriate and necessary. These interventions may be behavioral, financial and/or from a mental health skill buildingProvides linkage to community-based services and support; provides advocacy and support for the client.Coordinates scheduling of appointments, as needed.Coordinates services, as needed and Link Crisis plan to appropriate mental health providerIs responsible for the proper and timely documentation of all information required by the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services (DBHDS) Maintains regular and ongoing contact with referring agencies, as well as other agencies involved in clientActively coordinates and plans discharge, and aftercare plans with referring agency.Attends interagency meetings, as necessary.Attends and participates in team meetings.Attends and participates in orientation, in-service training, and conferences as scheduled.Attending supervision.Performs other duties as assigned.Driver's License w/current inspection and vehicle auto insurance acceptable driving record
