Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJ&J Truck Bodies & Trailers is seeking a Continuous & Quality Improvement Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing assigned quality, assurance, compliance, and process optimization initiatives within the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other job duties may be assigned in compliance with state and federal regulationsQuality Management:Lead and maintain the quality management system to ensure compliance with ISO, regulatory, and customer requirements.Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes across manufacturing, upfit, service, and delivery operations.Address customer complaints, non-conformance issues, and corrective actions with root cause analysis and preventive solutions.Analyze and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, including defect tracking, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and supplier non-conformance.Continuous ImprovementConduct and analyze internal and external research, including observation, sales and production data, customer visits, equipment usage, supplier visits, surveys, and more to develop actionable insights and recommendations.Lead LEAN, Six Sigma, and other initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and lessen rework.Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring challenges.Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and improve efficiency through process improvement, product improvement, and new technology and equipment.Develop standardization of processes and best practices across functions and facilities.Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost savings, lead time reduction, customer satisfaction, manufacturability, and operational efficiencies.Training & CultureConduct knowledge, skill, and capability gap assessments and identify appropriate training, work instructions, and other applicable solutions.Deliver applicable training, as required, within areas of specific subject matter expertise.Partner with executive and front-line leadership to ensure that organizational quality and improvement goals are being met.Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning across the organization.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, industrial engineering, operations management, or equivalent professional experience.5 years of process improvement, supply chain, or engineering project management.Strong knowledge in manufacturing processes, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.Lean certification is required or must be completed within 6 months of acceptance.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly leads initiatives or serves as Project Manager in any of the areas of Quality, Training, or Continuous Improvement, and as such, indirectly manages project team members to carry out assigned duties.May on a temporary or full-time basis be assigned direct reports to support strategic initiatives.Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Language SkillsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, customers, and the public.Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply mathematical concepts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and geometry. Demonstrates ability to apply these concepts in manufacturing.Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
