Based in Santa Maria, California, we provide the diving industry with outstanding products, quality parts, and service. Job Description: Quality Assurance Inspector Job Summary:
  • QA Inspector works with the department Supervisor to test and inspect products at various stages of the production process.
  • Evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of products.
  • Uses gauges and other devices to verify product conformity with standards.
  • May suggest or recommend changes regarding special requirements.
  • Reviews complaints received from customers to correct deficiencies.
  • Assists in the development and modification of quality procedures.
  • Suggests/recommends changes in standards, test equipment, and gauges to facilitate work and maintain quality.
  • Interacts with other departments to determine and resolve quality-related problems.
Responsibilities:
  • Under the immediate direction of the QA Supervisor, inspects raw and finished products made for and/or by KMDSI
  • Process parts for use in production (i.e., passivation, barrel finish, wash, bead blast, and other processes)
  • Inspection and quality control to meet specifications and quality standards
  • Process returning merchandise for vendors/customers using MAS 500
  • Interacts with other departments to determine and resolve QA relative issues
  • Verify conformity to the standards of the products to the blueprint
Education / Experience:
  • Minimum High School Diploma and/or 1 year/s experience in a manufacturing company.
  • Familiarity with all areas of quality control.
  • Must have experience reading blueprints and 1 year using measuring instruments.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft software.
  • Must be methodical and have the ability to work with small, intricate parts.
  • Ability to maintain good working relations with all departments.
  • Ability to be very accurate with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask while completing all assigned duties.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.

Compensation:
  • Starts at $21.00 per hour, with a performance review in 6 months and consideration for a pay increase.
  • Annual performance review with pay increase consideration.
(Pay Increases are based on performance.) Conditions of Employment:
  • The successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment background check.
  • Assessment tests, including a job knowledge test.
Hours:
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.

Compensation details: 21-21 Hourly Wage
