To learn more about us and what we do, please check out our YouTube videos below:Overview: https://youtu.be/V1qJRtqiFxsVideo Tour 2020: https://youtu.be/vkKXCim--sIAbout the Position:We are currently seeking a Quality Control and Packaging Specialist to perform final product processing and general shipping & receiving duties.Benefits:7 Paid HolidaysPaid time off (PTO)Tuition ReimbursementApprenticeship programMedical, Dental, and Vision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)401k with company matchLife InsuranceShort/long-term disabilityEmployee assistance program (EAP)Responsibilities:Final Product Processing including activities such as:cleaning, oiling, visual inspection, and wrapping on parts in accordance with job instructions.Receive incoming materials, products and parcels, including activities such as:verifying part numbers and quantities against packing slipsover-checking shipping containers and material/product for signs of damagerejecting damaged itemsreporting shortages & other discrepancies foundreconciling receipts and packing lists against ERP system countstransferring incoming materials/products to stock locationsPrepare and Ship Orders including activities such as:pulling finished product from staging areas or stock locationspacking product in shipping containers in accordance with job instructionsverifying countsapplying shipping labelspreparing shipping documentationOther Duties:Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacksParticipate in department housekeeping activitiesAdherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures, including the use of specified PPE.Ideal Candidate:Required Proficiencies:High school diploma or equivalent required.Strong attention to detailAbility to understand & follow written and verbal instructionsEffective communication skills both verbal & writtenBasic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividingAble to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.US Citizen or US Permanent ResidentDesired Proficiencies:Previous shipping/receiving or similar experience is a plus Company DescriptionSMT specializes in precision machined components and assemblies primarily for the aircraft, aerospace, and defense industries.We have 21 CNC machines, including 6 horizontal mills (3 of which are on a 23 pallet FMS and 1 has its own 6 pallet system), 1 high speed, 4-axis, vertical mill, 4 vertical mills with capability up to fifth axis positioning, and 8 lathes (some with live tooling).
