Quality Control Associate at Charlie's Produce

Schedule7:30am - 4:00pm(5) 8 hour shifts and most likely include weekends and holidaysThe RoleThe Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for inspecting all inbound and outbound product to ensure that company quality and dating standards are met. Inspector will work closely with the receiving group to identify any quality issues with incoming product and take the appropriate action. Inspector will also work closely with the Purchasing Department to resolve quality issues. This position reports directly to the Quality Control Supervisor. Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited ToInspect and determine fresh produce quality standards for inbound/outbound products using industry-appropriate methodsMaintain awareness of market trends technology and food safetyWorking with a warehouse management system that includes RF scanning and Inventory Control techniques Recording inspection results summarizing reworks and shrink determinations Qualifications : Required Skills and ExperienceIntermediate computer skills (MS Office)Good written and verbal communication skillsKeen attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and be self-motiviated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision and multi-taskAbility to lift up to 50lbsAbility to read/write/speak EnglishAbility to work in a refrigerated environment 36-degreesAbility to work safely and professionally in a fast paced environment with frequent heavy equipment and pedestrian trafficPreferred Skills and ExperiencePallet Jack/Forklift experience a plusAdditional Information : All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.This is a safety-sensitive position.This employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the Social Security Administration and if necessary the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employees Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.We do not provide H1-B sponsorships at this time.Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
