This individual will support production personnel to achieve quality goals and deadlines. - Measure and compare part dimensions and features to engineered drawings and requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gages, dial indicators, and optical comparator.
- Verify accuracy and quality of incoming materials.
- Maintain document control for part numbers, work orders, and calibration.
- Support production personnel to ensure high-quality standards.
- Identify and report quality issues as well as follow-up to ensure that corrective actions are effective.
- Work with production departments to find creative solutions and solve problems.
- Ensure accurate process control across all departments and products.
- Identify opportunities and make recommendations for continuous improvement to increase overall quality and eliminate defects.
- Willing to have an adaptable schedule based off production needs.
- Minimum two (2) years working in a machining environment.
- Previous experience in Quality Control preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality Management System Principles.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, including working knowledge of GD&T.
- The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds and flashing lights
- The ability to work in extreme weather
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly
