Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONTITLE: Quality Control TechnicianDEPARTMENT: QualityREPORTS TO:Director, QualitySTATUS:HourlySUMMARYResponsibilities: We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to coordinate product assurance procedures and activities on-site at its manufacturing facility, and ensure product compliance. The Quality Control Technician applies strong knowledge of Quality Control and quality management systems (QMS) to develop or improve internal processes and customer products. S/he is instrumental in supporting the business to ensure it meets internal, customer and regulatory quality requirements.Qualifications:AS/BS in technical field preferred; High School Diploma or Equivalent accepted with 5+ years of experience2+ Years in Quality Control; Familiarity with Aerospace regulatory standards preferredTechnical proficiency with inspection & test equipmentKnowledge of GD&T principlesAbility to occasionally lift 40 lbs is requiredMust be a U.S. Citizen Skills/Aptitudes: Quality Control MethodologiesAnalytical & Problem-Solving AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and ability to focus for long periods of time. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions SoftwareProficiency (e.g. MS Suite, Inspection & ERP systems) Mechanical aptitude & Basic Shop Math SkillsAbility to Work Collaboratively within all Levels of the OrganizationExcellent Organizational SkillsEffective CommunicationAbility to work IndependentlySitting for long periods of timeAny experience with DISCUS or KEYENCE software helpful, not requiredRESPONSIBILITIESPerform incoming (receiving inspection), in-process and final product inspections Use pre-determined methods, operations, set-ups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually and dimensionally manufactured parts. Use of various inspection tools and devices; including but not limited to hand tools and CMM capabilities. Create Non-conforming (NCMR) tags using product against product/process requirements/proceduresEnsure NCMR Log is CurrentVerify Calibration of area tools.
