Whenever professionals purchase glass vials from Pacific Vial, they know they are choosing the best in the business.Quality Control Team: This position is the first line of defense against producing defective vials and is primarily responsible for loading glass tubing, monitoring assigned machine lines that produce vials, ensures quality products are being manufactured and notices any problems with the machine and corrects them if capable by performing the following duties.Essential Functions/Duties:Perform regular inspections of vials to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications.Detect and document any defects or deviations in product qualityUse measurement tools such as Go-No-Go gauges, calipers, and other instruments to check vial dimensions, bottom thickness, length, and other specifications to ensure compliance.Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, including results from hourly checks, report findings to supervisors and management as needed.Work closely with loaders, technicians, and shift leads to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.Identify non-conforming products and take appropriate action, including segregation, or disposal, according to company procedures.Assist in training new inspectors in quality control standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.Ensure that workstations, inspection areas, and equipment are clean, organized, and meet safety and environmental standards.Qualifications:Ability to verify the measurement of materials.Ability to understand/comprehend instructions necessary to meet production demands.Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.Ability to apply concepts such as basic math to practical situations.Must have good communication, organizational, and cross-training skills.Performs other related duties as needed to meet production demands.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand in one place for extended periods of time, in addition walk different machines/lathes.The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger for, handle, feel and to reach.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.Schedule:4x10 ScheduleM-Th1st shift- 5:30AM- 4:15PM (1 opening QC)2nd shift- 7:00PM-5:45AM (2 openings- Bench Check & Loader)Company DescriptionFor over 20 years, Pacific Vial Manufacturing has been dedicated to manufacturing high-quality custom glass vials that serve industries from the scientific, medical, specialty packaging and cosmetic industries.
