Regardless of the position one holds, each team member brings their talent and desire to positively impact the environment and lives of others in a refreshing, vibrant, and inclusive culture.Our Quality Control Inspector position performs inspections or testing to ensure conformity with the type design engineering data.  They document their results, identify defects and report when instances of poor quality items increase. Quality Control Inspectors safely discard or destroy items that don’t meet the necessary specifications to prevent unsatisfactory inventory from reaching production. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards. The ideal candidate has keen attention to detail, and is proficient in using precision dimensional inspection equipment including, but not limited to, calipers and micrometers.How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:Perform Quality Control inspections & testing per inspection work instructions in an Aerospace manufacturing environmentRetrieval and interpretation of technical documentsInterpret technical documents and develop inspection work instructionsPerform First Article Inspections per AS9102Complete required documentation and enter into ERP system, create inspection reports as neededCommunicate technical requirements to shop personnelAssign traceability to incoming raw material, quarantine, and scrap componentsPrioritize workflowMaintain measuring equipmentContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededPerform tasks as needed per individual jobsMaintain a clean work environment, and comply with safety requirementsMinimum Qualifications:High School graduate or equivalentAbility to read and interpret blueprints and Engineering drawingsAt least 1 year of experience in manufacturing operationsWorking knowledge of GD&TExperience performing dimensional inspections using standard precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gage blocksProficient in the use of computer applications such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and/or web based software.Attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsMechanical aptitudeAbility to work independently, but function as a team playerAbove and Beyond Qualifications:Knowledge of ASME Y14.5Two or four year degree in Mechanical EngineeringWorking knowledge of CAD software including Catia, or Onshape.Two or more years of experience in Quality Control in AerospaceCertification from American Society for Quality (ASQ)Experience with quality control techniques such as Six SigmaExperience in at least one form of non-destructive inspections such as Fluorescent Penetrant InspectionKnowledge of Quality Management Systems such as AS9100Knowledge of FAA regulations and Aerospace conformity requirementsExperienced interfacing with Business Enterprise Systems such as PlexExperience with Inspection software such as InspectionXpert, NetInspect, or equivalent reporting softwareExperience working with a manufacturing team to develop new processesThe wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. We remain committed to fair and equitable pay and we're happy to discuss during the interview process.Physical Demands and Work Environment:Ability to work in a manufacturing environment using OSHA required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift a minimum of 50lbs.
