Basic Job Functions: The Quality Coordinator will play a key role in promoting and supporting a culture centered around Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement within the NCFWI and NBBOH teams-0. This position will work closely with teammates and facility leadership to maintain and improve all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO/IATF standards and customer requirements. The Quality Coordinator will assist in organizing, coordinating, and conducting internal and external audits related to the QMS and support corrective and preventive action initiatives throughout the facility. This role will be responsible for leading the team on investigating customer claims, facilitating root cause analysis, implementing and tracking corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement efforts to prevent recurrence. Additional responsibilities include reviewing customer specifications and requirements to ensure compliance, supporting new part setup and part creation within D365, maintaining quality documentation and records, assisting with data analysis and reporting, and supporting quality inspection and laboratory activities as needed. This position may also support Safety and Environmental programs and collaborate cross-functionally to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Preferred Qualifications: Technical experience in the steel industry Relevant two-year or four-year degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field Familiarity with formalized management systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and/or OSHA-based systems Auditor or Lead Auditor training/certification Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial production environments Experience with quality systems, customer claims management, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes Experience reviewing customer specifications and requirements Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar ERP systems, including part setup and maintenance Experience working with quality inspection or laboratory processes
