Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: TheQuality Director is responsible for planning and implementing the hospitals Quality Program to meet organizational needs under the direction of the Corporate Quality Director and approval of the Hospital Governance Committee.The Quality Director provides education to leadership, medical staff, hospital staff, and the Governing Body. This role facilitates performance improvement activities and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities through the QAPI plan and serves as a resource person to the administrative team, department managers, and medical staff. The Quality Director assists department managers with preparation for committee meetings and regulatory body surveys, including accrediting organization reviews, State Licensing Reviews, and CMS Validation Surveys.Quality Management:Implement the Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) plan to meet hospital needsEducate medical staff, hospital staff, and Governing Body on quality initiativesFacilitate performance improvement and CQI activities throughout the hospitalProvide oversight and support to administrative teams and department managersMaintain oversight responsibility for all performance improvement activitiesDrive and manage the Risk Management and Utilization Plan within the QAPI planEnsure readiness for all regulatory body surveys and compliance with standardsRisk Management:Identify clinical risks, evaluate situations, and coordinate corrective actionsProvide interventions and education to promote safe work practices and quality careCoordinate risk programs across hospital departments, administration, and legal counselReport real and potential risk situations to the Governing Body, medical staff, administration, and appropriate committeesEstablish and monitor methods to avoid, eliminate, or reduce risk situations in patient care and servicesClinical Staff Education:Direct the clinical staff education program for the organizationManage operational and educational activities to meet staff and patient needsConsult with department directors, staff, physicians, and nursing personnel to assess educational requirementsRecommend and assist in developing educational policies and proceduresServe as a resource person to staff and management for education and training needsPreferred Qualifications:Education:Current clinical licensure in the State of PracticeExperience:Minimum of two (2) years experience in a clinical healthcare or medical industry setting requiredPrevious experience in quality or performance improvement activities preferredSkills & Abilities:Effective verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical problem-solving skillsAbility to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructionsProficiency in PC computers, tablets, and smartphonesAbility to acclimate easily to changing schedulesComfortable using mobile tools and applicationsDemonstrates commitment to exceeding minimum standards and achieving excellenceEqual Employment Opportunity StatementFreedom Behavioral Hospital of Ferriday provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
