Their work is crucial to Cisco's broader technology portfolio, advancing Cisco Silicon One-a unified silicon architecture designed to meet the routing and switching needs of data centers and networks. By maintaining high operational quality standards, the team supports innovation in programmable silicon that underpins key product lines like the Catalyst 9000 and Cisco 8000 series, ensuring scalable, flexible, and high-performance hardware solutions that drive Cisco's leadership in enterprise technology. Working in this team offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of cutting-edge silicon and software innovations, contributing to next-generation networking capabilities through collaboration across engineering, operations, and customer experience teams in a dynamic, innovation-focused environment.Your ImpactAs a Quality Engineer on the SiOPs Customer Quality Engineering team, you will ensure product excellence by analyzing customer returns, driving root cause investigations, and improving reliability across the product lifecycle. You'll apply statistical methods, quality systems expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall product performance.Implement and maintain quality control systems for inspection and evaluation of electronic components and products.Analyze manufacturing processes using statistical tools to identify defects and drive continuous improvement.Lead problem-solving efforts, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions (including 8D).Support quality across the full product lifecycle, partnering with engineering and manufacturing teams from design through production.Oversee testing and validation protocols to ensure products meet all specifications and performance standards.Minimum Qualifications BS in Electronics/Software/Hardware with 10+ years of quality experienceTechnical Expertise:Strong understanding of highly integrated electronic circuits, components, manufacturing processes, and quality control methods.Statistical Analysis:Proficiency in using statistical methods for quality control, data analysis, and problem-solving.Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to diagnose issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.Collaboration and Communication:Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve issues.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of high-capacity switching devices and SerDes converters.Why Cisco?At Cisco, we're revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era - and beyond. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; andOnce performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:New York City Metro Area:$140,800.00 - $210,500.00Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:$128,200.00 - $186,700.00* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
