We are collaborating with leading companies in Mason seeking experienced CMM Programmers.The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Mason seeking CMM Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs for complex parts and assemblies.Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.Set up CMM equipment, fixtures, and parts for accurate and efficient measurement.Execute CMM programs, collect measurement data, and analyze results for conformance to specifications.Generate comprehensive inspection reports, including deviation analysis and trend reporting.Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs, probes, and equipment issues.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and improve part manufacturability.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles.Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.Experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment.Knowledge of various measurement tools and techniques beyond CMM.Bonus QualificationsProficiency in advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model manipulation and fixture design.Experience with other metrology equipment such as vision systems, laser scanners, or profilometers.Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement.Ability to design and develop custom CMM fixturing.Experience training or mentoring others in GD&T principles or CMM operation.Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Programmer, CMM Technician, Dimensional Metrologist, Quality Inspector (CMM), Inspection Programmer, Measurement Programmer, Quality Control ProgrammerWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
