Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONQuality Assurance Associate GENERAL PURPOSE: The QA Associate reports to the QA Team Leader and is responsible for the efficient operation of the quality assurance testing and inspection processes in accordance with established operation standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Efficient completion of testing and provide results with accuracy and reliabilityObtain precise measurements and record accurate dataUse a computer to perform testing and/or record testing resultsStay on task without constant supervisionThoroughly handle adverse situationsEffectively communicate with QA, Manufacturing and other support staffDemonstrate cooperation in a constantly changing environmentMaintain a safe work environment5S - Maintain a clean and organized work areaSet-up, operation, and preventative maintenance of QA Lab equipment as requiredAll other duties as requested by a person of authorityFulfillment of the physical demands of the position, listed belowAssociates at all levels must maintain their Roles and Responsibilities as outlined with SRK-OH’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO9001 and ISO 14001. These industry standards are necessary to ensure continued Customer Satisfaction in relationship with our philosophy of Continuous Quality Improvement.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to access all processes for parts pick-up. The Associate frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors in a moderately noisy environment. The Associate is occasionally required to sit, climb and balance. The Associate must lift and/or move all parts and test fixtures up to 40 pounds. Must be able to bend, twist, push, pull, and reach. The associate will need to perform several cut checks with scissors and knives, perform torque tests and able to use a band saw and chop saw for cut checks.WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: The minimum qualifications needed to perform the essential functions of the job such as education, competencies, experience, knowledge and skills. This should include any specialized knowledge and expertise applicable to the job.High School Degree or GEDOne or more years of working in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability to work in a team environment Good attendanceOpen to a flexible work schedule; must be able to support manufacturing weekend production.Testing to evaluate reading and math abilities.
