These markets include aerospace and defense factory automation air and water quality environmental monitoring electronics design and development oceanographic research deepwater oil and gas exploration and production medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide training for quality-related tools statistical techniques and manufacturing skillsInvestigate customer complaints warranty returns and factory issues to determine root causes and implement corrective actionsWork with development engineering and operations to ensure products are manufactured to defined requirements and meet customer requirementsReport on the performance of the quality system for review and as a basis for improvementManage the internal audit program and provide new auditor training as neededOversee the corrective action program and ensure improvement actions are effectiveReview and approve engineering change order (ECO) requests and nonconforming material dispositionsWatch over the incoming inspection process and calibration program and make improvements as neededMaintains professional and technical knowledge via workshops; professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and participating in professional societiesAdminister the electrostatic discharge (ESD) prevention program and provide training for affected personnelOrganize and promote company-wide quality and process improvement initiativesEnsure products and processes meet all manufacturing requirements and test standardsDue to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions successful applicants must be a US Person (US Citizens US Nationals lawful permanent residents asylees or refugees)Education and Experience:Bachelors degree in engineeringFive (5) years of quality assurance experience in a medium or large-size manufacturing companyJob Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Proficient in the use of office computers and software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office tools & ERP systems)Excellent organizational leadership and communication skills (both written and verbal) along with presentation skills. Able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organizationKnowledgeable in Quality Systems and ISO 9001requirementsAble to perform capability studies gauge R & R analysis and determine statistical sample sizesSupervisory Responsibilities:NoneTraining Requirements: IFS OverviewHazardous CommunicationsISO 9001 QMS standardPersonal Protective Equipment:The use of safety glasses is required when working in production and lab areas and when visiting suppliers and customers at their facilityAdditional protection may be required while working with machinery and equipmentThe physical/mental demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
