DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYVertiv is hiring a Quality Engineer in Lincoln NE to provide FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Control Plans drives Continuous Improvement performs audits ensures performance to workmanship standards. Investigates and leads Corrective Actions. Plans implements and coordinates applicable corrective preventive and technical controls of processes and products as required. Develops and implements an effective quality system related to manufacturing elements; including but not limited to quality planning receiving inspection and Quality Management System audits.RESPONSIBILITIESLeads the identification of problem root cause and the development and implementation of effective corrections and preventive methodsParticipates in product and process development teams as applicableAnalyzes various failure reports and recommends corrective actionCollects analyzes and reports on various measurement statistics and metricsMaintain an interactive plant quality relationship focused on effective transition of product releases to a manufacturing quality support role.Facilitate creation of control plans process flows and Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) specific to new product development.Interface closely with Engineering Service Manufacturing and Product Management to understand and improve product and service quality.Investigate and resolve QA projects as assigned.Ensure communication and interaction with Supplier Quality.Participate as Auditor of the Vertiv Quality Management System.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Job Qualifications:BA or BS or equivalent experienceBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Industrial and Systems Engineering or other relevant degree preferredNo experience required with a bachelors degreeMinimum of 5 years relevant experience in lieu of degreeDrivers license requiredPreferred Qualifications:PMP PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.Experience in multi-site or global manufacturing programs.Knowledge of ISA-95 and digital manufacturing standards.Key Competencies:Proven leadership in large-scale digital transformation projects.Strong communication stakeholder engagement and organizational skills.Ability to manage complexity and drive alignment across global teams.Results-driven with a focus on quality timeliness and business impact.EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONSBA or BS or equivalent experienceBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering Industrial and Systems Engineering or other relevant degree preferredDrivers license requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSHeavy Lifting (over 50 Ibs.)Frequent StandingFrequent kneeling / crawling / stoopingFrequent bending / twistingFrequent climbing (stairs ladders)ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSProtective Equipment Required (earplugs gloves eyewear safety toed shoes/boots)TRAVEL TIME REQUIRED10% domestic/internationalThe successful candidate will embrace Vertivs Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: .
