OverviewThe intern program will provide hands-on meaningful work experiences in the Quality Engineering Department to improve analytical communication and program skills. Successful candidates for this role will gain valuable experience in the medical device industry which could shape career decisions and create future employment position will support the Quality Engineering group typically working as an assignee on smaller scale Quality Engineering projects or tasks related to larger scale Quality Engineering projects. The tasks/projects performed by this individual will typically be monitored or managed by a Sr/Quality EngineerResponsibilitiesSpecific Responsibilities will be project based. All responsibilities below may not be encompassed over the duration of the Interns term.Engineering Change Notice reviews & actions. Auditing.Writing work instructions and compliance surveys. Creating quality alerts. Performing validation tests.Root cause analysis.Action implementation with customer complaints.Additional duties as assigned.Required QualificationsEnrolled in an applicable engineering program and in good standing with the university/college.At a minimum completed 1 year is engineering program.Ability to adapt quickly and positively to changing priorities and processes.Ability to work under minimal supervision.Strong communication written and verbal and organizational skills.Willingness to ask clarifying questions when necessary.Fluent in Microsoft product suite.Preferred QualificationsGeneral understanding and applicability of Six Sigma and Lean ManufacturingGeneral knowledge of CAD and SolidWorks.Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or 13485 and/or FDA Part 820CompensationThe compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $20-$24/hr.For temp temp-to-hire and regular full-time positions our company policy is that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
