The Land Electronics Quality Team in Melbourne, FL is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Quality Inspector - Receiving Inspection to join us. In this role, you will perform detailed inspections of products, components, and assemblies, ensuring they adhere to engineering designs and purchase order specifications.What You Will DoPerform complex inspection activities, to assess conformance of products to the design as defined by theengineering drawings and/or modelsInspect products, components, subassemblies, and/or systems to ensure conformance to requirementsAssist Quality Engineers with identifying non-conforming conditions of products that present existing orimpending defective conditions at the system or subsystem level of assemblyPerform material movement transactions after completing inspection processMay specialize in receiving inspection, and Final Inspection, Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.Strong attention to detail to perform thorough inspections and identify non-conformancesGenerate discrepancy notices and initiate Material Review Board ActionsValidates the quality of purchased BOM materials based on set acceptance criteriaEnsure nonconforming material is properly segregated according to procedures and controlled until properly dispositionedProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel) and general PC skills to support documentationand data management tasksQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED5+ years relevent experience and in-depth knowledge of receiving inspection processExperience reading drawings and able to verify partsExperience reading mechanical drawings and able to verify part dimensions against drawing requirementsExperience in operating Hexagon CMM Equipment and various measurement tools for validating dimensionsIPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 experience is preferredAS9102 FAIR Standard Experience RequiredMaintain ESD integrity within production environment where necessaryMaintain a clean safe work environment and contribute to the 6S program and Lean conceptsCommunicating results, and necessary escalations to supervisors effectivelyReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essentialfunctions.Able to work 1st shift, 9/80, 5:30 am - 3:00 pm ESTOnly candidates that meet the qualifications set forth above are eligible to be contacted for further information.
